Ohio currently offers 13 retail sportsbook locations across the state, and at least four more are on the way. Those retail locations and plans changed dramatically since they were first unveiled ahead of launch.

Some locations nixed their pursuit of a retail book while others added one. As of March 2023, where are the in-person Ohio sportsbooks?

The dominant form of came from retail sportsbooks. Regardless of the figures, the Buckeye State offers plenty of in-person locations to place bets and watch games.

BetRivers‘ first BetRivers is the closest to opening their doors and the only one with a firm opening date.

Sportsbooks at FirstEnergy Stadium (Browns) and Lower.com Field (Crew) are NFL won’t allow Bally Bet’s retail location to be open during games, however.

Muirfield Village Golf Club initially announced a sportsbook partnership with retail sportsbook will not be on Muirfield Village grounds, instead somewhere nearby. This book is the furthest from operation as Muirfield Village moved back to square one in the planning process.

Venues with no in-person sportsbook

Hope surrounded Progressive Field (Guardians) and PayCor Stadium (Bengals) offering retail books. The Guardians inked a deal with Betfred prior to launch, but neither venue plans to offer betting lounges as of March. Progressive Field even released plans for a massive $205.5M renovation targeted to finish in time for the 2025 season. However, a retail sportsbook was not in the plans.

Nationwide Arena (Blue Jackets) was rumored to have a retail book coming in, BetFanatics, although there’s no confirmation of that yet.
